Tri-Centric Foundation Archive

The Tri-Centric Foundation physical archive of scores, recordings, and ephemera of Anthony Braxton was active from 2013-2024. In that time, the Tri-Centric Foundation digitized the entire collection in order digitally preserve the materials and process them to be made available in the form of published scores and writings. In 2024, Anthony Braxton and the Tri-Centric Foundation transferred the physical archival materials to the Library of Congress which is now available for researchers. Information about the collection can be found here and the Finding Aid can be found here.

The Tri-Centric Foundation maintains it’s digital archive and provide access to students, musicians, researchers on a limited basis. To inquire about a specific score or piece please email carl (at) tricentricfoundation (dot) org to request information.

The Tri-Centric Foundation Archive has previously received support from the GRAMMY Museum’s Preservation Assistance program and the Recordings at Risk grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The CLIR grant program is made possible by funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
